B‘ELANNA (V.O) I don‘t know, we‘re kind of busy in engineering. TOM Oh, come on B‘Elanna.I thought we decided that we would get together tonight. B‘ELANNA(V.O) I want to be here for the polaron bursts, make sure nothing goes wrong. TOM Well…. WE HEAR TUVOK‘S VOICE TUVOK (O.S) Ahem….Lt. Paris, with whom are you speaking? ANGLE ON TOM as he stands up to meet Tuvok (who is behind him). TOM Tuvok…. Tuvok looks at Tom‘s comm badge. TUVOK‘S POV OF TOM‘S BADGE. RESUME TUVOK TUVOK May I suggest, Mr. Paris, that you and Lt. Torres find time in your off duty hours to discuss personal matters. TOM Ah, we will Tuvok. Tuvok walks away. Tom sits back down. TOM (softer than before) Why can‘t you leave it to the other engineers, B‘Elanna? B‘ELANNA (V.O) I don‘t want anything going wrong on my shift. TOM There‘s that Klingon sense of duty. WE HEAR TUVOK‘S VOICE TUVOK (O.S) (clearing his throat loudly) Ahem…. ANGLE so that we now see Tuvok standing over Tom‘s shoulder. TUVOK Mr. Paris…. TOM (standing up to face him) You‘re right, you‘re right Tuvok. It won‘t happen again…. TUVOK walks away and OUT OF FRAME. TOM (as he sits down) (to himself) ….at least not when you‘re on duty. WE HEAR BEEPING SOUNDS COMING FROM THE HELM CONSOLE. TOM (clicking on his console) I‘m reading three ships approaching, on long range sensors. NEW ANGLE as JANEWAY ENTERS from her READY ROOM. JANEWAY (as she relieves Tuvok) Report. TUVOK (as he begins to walk away) We‘ve picked up three ships on long range sensors, Captain. JANEWAY Are they within visual range, Tom? TOM Yes ma‘am. JANEWAY (quick nod of her head) On screen. ANGLE ON THE VIEWSCREEN as it displays THREE SHIPS that seem rather far away. (SPFX) RESUME JANEWAY JANEWAY Magnify. ON VIEWSCREEN as it displays a MAGNIFIED VIEW OF THE THREE SHIPS (revealing them to be VIDIIAN) [SPFX] CLOSE ON JANEWAY JANEWAY (concerned) Vidiians. CUT TO: MAIN TITLES. ACT ONE INT. BRIDGE JANEWAY Red alert. The Bridge‘s lighting goes from regular to red, with BLINKING RED LIGHTS adorning the walls . JANEWAY Evasive manoeuvres, Mr. Paris. TOM (clicking on his console) Aye captain. CUT TO: EXT. SPACE VOYAGER begins to fly away from the THREE VIDIIAN SHIPS. The VIDIIAN SHIPS pursue and fire on Voyager. (SPFX) CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER- BRIDGE The impact of the ‚firing‘ makes the bridge and its occupants shake violently JANEWAY ( recovering from a violent shake) Return fire. CUT TO: EXT. SPACE Voyager returns fire on the three ships, even as those ships try to circle it (SPFX) CUT TO: INT. BRIDGE TUVOK (who is at his station now) Direct hit to their aft shields, captain. Just then, another hit shakes the bridge (and every one on board) again. TUVOK Shields down by 44%. JANEWAY Target their weapons array. TUVOK Weapons array targeted. JANEWAY (sternly) Fire. CUT TO: EXT. SPACE Voyager fires and hits two of the ships (their weapons array). (SPFX) The other ship flies under Voyager and locks on to it (SPFX) CUT TO: INT. BRIDGE TUVOK Weapons of two of the ships have been disabled Captain. There is another BEEPING SOUND coming from Tuvok‘s console. TUVOK The third ship has locked on to Voyager, captain. (beat) We are being boarded on decks 12 and 17. JANEWAY Evacuate those decks. (beat) Seal them off with confinement beams. CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER-HALLWAYS NEAR THE MESS HALL VIDIIANS(4) with WEAPONS are running cautiously through the hallways. They near the MESS HALL just as AN ENSIGN is about to exit it. TWO OF THE VIDIIANS (with their weapons aimed at the ensign) walk past him. ONE (VID 1) out of the other two, grabs the ensign and shoves him down against a wall. ANGLE so that we see the inside of the mess hall in the b.g, while the ensign is against the wall in the doorway of it. Note- we can see NEELIX behind his KITCHEN COUNTER watching the Vidiians and the ensign. ON THE VID 1 as he takes out his WEAPON to steal organs and aims it at the ensign. The other Vidiian (VID 2) holds him (Vid 1) back. VID 2 (to Vid 1) No…. we don‘t have much time. We can‘t stop for this. QUICK CLOSE ON NEELIX as he is intently listening . ON VID 1 VID 1 I don‘t care….I need a lung. VID 1 initiates his weapon and begins to steal the lung from the ensign. ENSIGN (screaming out in pain) Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After he is finished, Vid 1 and Vid 2 take a quick look inside of the mess hall. A SINGLE POV OF BOTH VIDIIANS OF THE MESS HALL (SHOWN AS A WIDE PANNING SHOT OF IT FROM ONE CORNER TO THE OTHER). Every one in the mess hall is terrified. RESUME VID 1 as he contemplates going in to get some more organs. VID 2 We can‘t… we have to get to engineering. They both reluctantly leave. A CONFINEMENT BEAM APPEARS (in the hallway) when they do. (SPFX). CLOSE ON NEELIX as he wonders about their restraint. CUT TO: INT. ENGINEERING HARRY AND B"ELANNA are behind various CONSOLES when Vid 1 and Vid 2 ENTER HARRY (slaps his COMM BADGE) Security team to engineering. Vid 2 grabs another ENSIGN by the neck and brings him over to B‘Elanna. Vid 1 takes out the weapon and points it at the ensign‘s chest, at the point where the heart is. VID 2 Come with us Klingon…or we will rip him apart. CLOSE ON B‘ELANNA as she looks back to Harry. VID 1 We will take his heart now! B‘ELANNA (turning back to them) Wait! (reluctantly) Let him go…..and I‘ll go. Vid 2 cautiously lets go of the ensign as B‘Elanna walks over to him slowly. The three walk out of engineering slowly. HARRY (sighs) (slapping his comm badge again) Ensign Kim to the bridge. INTERCUT WITH: INT. BRIDGE OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT OF JANEWAY with Tuvok in the b.g. JANEWAY Go ahead Harry. HARRY Cancel the security team captain. TUVOK (in focus now) The Vidiians are retreating Captain. JANEWAY (focus back on her) (nodding, acknowledging Tuvok‘s statement) Harry? HARRY They‘ve taken B‘Elanna. REACTION SHOT OF TOM as he is upset on hearing that. TUVOK The Vidiians are leaving, Captain. JANEWAY Stay with them, Tom. Warp 9. TOM (nods) and clicks away at his console , hoping to catch them. CUT TO: EXT. SPACE THE THREE VIDIIAN SHIPS ARE BEING PURSUED BY VOYAGER (SPFX) NEW ANGLE AS THE VIDIIAN SHIPS FLY INTO A MASSIVE NEBULA (SPFX) CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER- BRIDGE TUVOK They have just entered a magnetic nebula, captain. JANEWAY All stop, Mr. Paris. TOM (doesn‘t like what he‘s hearing) Ma‘am? JANEWAY We can‘t rush head long into a magnetic nebula at top speed, Tom. TOM If we stop now, we could lose them Captain. JANEWAY If we don‘t , we could destroy Voyager and lose them for good. (sternly) All stop, Lt. CLOSE ON TOM as he sighs and clicks on his console. CUT TO: EXT. SPACE VOYAGER slows to a complete stop (just outside the nebula). CUT TO: INT. BRIDGE TUVOK We have lost their signatures, captain. ANGLE ON TOM as she sighs. CLOSE ON JANEWAY as she is concerned. END ACT ONE. CUT TO: ACT TWO INT. VOYAGER- BRIEFING ROOM TOM, JANEWAY, TUVOK, HARRY, CHAKOTAY, NEELIX, AND SEVEN are all seated around the TABLE. CHAKOTAY(to Janeway) They only took organs from one ensign while on board. NEELIX (to Chakotay) That‘s right, I saw them. They were determined to reach engineering even though they had defenseless officers in the mess hall. TOM (very upset) They came for B‘Elanna. CHAKOTAY (to Janeway) The last time that happened, they split her into her Klingon and human sides to research a cure for the Phage. TOM (extremely upset) (standing up) I saw what that did to her captain! JANEWAY(with concern) I understand that, Tom. ( to everyone) We need to assume for now that they will split her. They‘ll perform their experiments on B‘Elanna‘s Klingon side. HARRY And her human side? TUVOK They might attempt to harvest her organs. TOM (extremely upset) (shouting) NO! THEY WOULDN‘T! (calming down a bit) She would be too weak , her organs wouldn‘t be of any use to them. CHAKOTAY Without any mines to work on, they would have no use for her either. TOM (becoming alarmed) Captain, I could take a shuttle and go into the nebula. JANEWAY (trying to calm him) Tom, even if we still had the Delta Flyer, we couldn‘t risk sending you into the nebula on a shuttle. CHAKOTAY (to Tom) One magnetic burst from within the nebula and it could send your shuttle flying off course. TOM I can handle it. JANEWAY (nodding) We‘ll need to take Voyager in at impulse speed. Any higher than that and we wouldn‘t be able to detect and avoid the magnetic bursts. Tom, you‘ll take us in manually, Seven, use the sensors to map out a course that displays the least amount of magnetic field resonance. And then we‘ll go in, nice and slowly. (slight nod of her head) Dismissed. Every one begins to leave the ready room. CUT TO: INT. NEBULA- VIDIIAN SHIP- MEDICAL ROOM OVERHEAD SHOT OF THE ROOM showing THE KLINGON B‘ELANNA ( K B‘ELANNA) lying flat , hands bound, on a MED BED. NEW ANGLE OF K B‘ELANNA as she wakes up. K B‘ELANNA (moaning) Mmnnnnn……. A VIDIIAN MED OFFICER (NAL) ENTERS and walks over to her bed. NAL (takes up a MED PADD ) You‘re awake. K B‘ELANNA (in between deep breaths) What have you done? NAL (clicking on the padd) Nothing you haven‘t been through before. Dr. Sulan had performed some of these tests on you, and now we‘re continuing the experiments. ( beat) You have a weakened version of the Phage in you. How much pain are you in? K B‘ELANNA I will not co-operate. NAL (stops working on his padd) I think you will change your mind…. He looks back as another VIDIIAN brings the very sick HUMAN B‘ELANNA (H B‘ELANNA) into the room. ANGLE ON K B‘ELANNA as she strains to see H B‘ELANNA. K B‘ELANNA‘S POV OF H B‘ELANNA as she is shivering and visually sick. NAL (to K B‘Elanna) She doesn‘t look well, does she? How much pain do you think she can endure? K B‘ELANNA You will not harm her. NAL Well, then, how much pain are you in? K B‘ELANNA(struggling a bit) I am able to handle it. NAL goes over to a CONSOLE , takes up a HYPOSPRAY filled with a WHITE, CLOUDY LIQUID and goes back over to K B‘Elanna. NAL Then, we must give you more. He begins to inject her with more as a horrified H B‘Elanna looks on. CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER- ASTROMETRICS LAB SEVEN is looking at THE VIEWSCREEN which is displaying a GRID-LIKE MAP SHOWING A COURSE MAPPED OUT (SPFX) ON SEVEN SEVEN (slaps her COMM BADGE) Seven to the bridge. JANEWAY (V.O) Go ahead, Seven. SEVEN I‘ve mapped out a course, captain. JANEWAY (V.O) Acknowledged. CUT TO: INT. BRIDGE TUVOK, HARRY, JANEWAY AND CHAKOTAY are in their designated posts. TOM is at the helm. JANEWAY Set a course, Mr. Paris. TOM (rearing to go) Yes, ma‘am. CUT TO: EXT. SPACE- VOYAGER Begins to enter the nebula slowly (SPFX) CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER- BRIDGE TUVOK Sensors are picking up three Vidiian ships. JANEWAY (standing up) Red alert. The bridge‘s lighting goes from normal to red. CUT TO: INT. VIDIIAN SHIP- MED ROOM The lights are blinking on and off. Nal goes over to a console and starts clicking on it. NAL (to the Vidiian holding H B‘Elanna) Voyager is in pursuit. Nal and the Vidiian leave , as the door closes behind them. ANGLE ON H B‘ELANNA as she makes her way over to K B‘Elanna. H B‘ELANNA (as she reaches) Are you okay? K B‘ELANNA(in between pained breaths) We….need….to….get….out…of….here. H B‘ELANNA (fiddling around with the arm restraints) Let me get you of these. ( she can‘t get them off) I need to check his console. She stumbles over to the console and begins to click on it. CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER- BRIDGE TUVOK They are powering weapons ,captain. JANEWAY Target their weapons array. HARRY (to Janeway) We are within transporter range. TUVOK Weapons array targeted ,captain. JANEWAY (nods at Harry) (to Tuvok) Fire. CUT TO: EXT. SPACE-VOYAGER Fires on the Vidiian ships.(SPFX) CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER-BRIDGE TUVOK Direct hit to their weapons array. JANEWAY(to Harry) Lower our shields. See if you can beam them out of there. CUT TO: INT. VIDIIAN- MED ROOM H B‘ELANNA is still clicking away at the console when, ANGLE ON THE ARM RESTRAINTS as they open. NEW ANGLE as we see K B‘ELANNA slowly rise from the bed. They both begin to become ‚ energized ‚(SPFX) CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER-BRIDGE HARRY Got them, captain. JANEWAY Get us out of here Tom. Tom nods. CUT TO: EXT. SPACE VOYAGER turns around and heads out of the nebula (even as it continues to keep the Vidiian ships at bay by firing).(SPFX). CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER-SICKBAY K B‘Elanna and H B‘Elanna are both lying on ADJACENT BIO BEDS. The Doctor is checking them out with his MEDICAL TRICORDER. TOM ENTERS and walks right up to the two beds. CLOSE ON TOM as he is a little taken aback by the two B‘Elannas. TOM (to both of them) Are you okay? H B‘ELANNA(reaching for him) Tom…. we‘re okay. Tom goes over and takes her hand in his. He sits on the side of her bed. ANGLE ON K B‘ELANNA as she watches them. ON TOM as he reaches over and touches the side of K B‘Elanna‘s bed. K B‘ELANNA (becoming defensive) I….am….fine. Tom removes his hand . DOCTOR (to himself) Oh no. (slaps his comm badge) Doctor to the captain. JANEWAY (V.O) What is it, Doctor? DOCTOR I can‘t reunite the two B‘Elanna‘s. BROAD SHOT OF K B‘ELANNA , H B‘ELANNA AND TOM as they are all shocked. Over this shot, we hear Janeway. JANEWAY (V.O) On my way. END ACT TWO. CUT TO: ACT THREE INT. VOYAGER- SICKBAY JANEWAY ENTERS and walks over to the Doctor JANEWAY What seems to be the problem, Doctor? DOCTOR (showing her a GRAPHIC ON A CONSOLE-SPFX) I have checked the Klingon B‘Elanna‘s system and she has successfully combated the Phage, but, I did find something else. There are usually bases in our genetic codes that form rungs, needed to make amino acids,our essential proteins. Those proteins make up our DNA. The last time the Vidiians took B‘Elanna apart, the bases and codes remained intact and so I was able to put her back together. But, now, they‘ve taken out the base codes , leaving the rungs to mutate into new amino acids. JANEWAY (nodding) Creating two different B‘Elanna‘s who can‘t be reattached without the original bases. But, why would they keep the bases? DOCTOR They can continue to perform their experiments using the bases to form new DNA. JANEWAY That‘s why they didn‘t put up much of a fight. ANGLE ON H B‘ELANNA, K B‘ELANNA, AND TOM as they hear these things. JANEWAY (looks at them) I think we need to pay the Vidiians another visit. Janeway leaves. DOCTOR (to the B‘Elanna‘s) You‘re both physically fine. I see no reason why you should stay in sickbay. TOM You two need anything help? K B‘ELANNA I…will…manage. H B‘ELANNA (weakly) Tom…. Tom helps H B‘Elanna up out of the bed and begins to help her out of sickbay. ANGLE ON K B‘ELANNA as she watches them . K B‘ELANNA‘S POV OF TOM AND H B‘ELANNA. RESUME K B‘ELANNA as she is upset. There is a SMALL MEDICAL TABLE with MEDICAL APPARATUS ON IT, (in front of her.) She gets up off her bed and hits the table down with her hands. DOCTOR (who‘s back was turned at the time) Lt., what happened? K B‘ELANNA (looks at him) It fell… K B‘Elanna exits by herself. CUT TO: INT. B‘ELANNA‘S QUARTER‘S TOM AND H B‘ELANNA ENTER. He helps her over to the COUCH. They both sit. H B‘ELANNA I remember everything….I have all my memories. TOM (caressing the side of her face) The important thing is that you‘re okay. H B‘ELANNA (referring to K B‘Elanna) What if we can‘t get back together? TOM (hugging her slightly) Everything will work out B‘Elanna. (smiling) Even if it doesn‘t, I‘ll be a doubly happy man. H B‘ELANNA smiles. H B‘ELANNA Where is my other half? TOM I don‘t know, she might be in the mess hall. I heard Neelix was planning something special. Come on, let‘s go have a look. Tom helps her up and they begin to leave. CUT TO: INT. MESS HALL K B‘ELANNA is sitting in a corner, feeling the stares from all the PEOPLE in the mess hall. Neelix comes over to her. NEELIX I‘ve got something special for you. K B‘ELANNA I am not hungry. NEELIX Are you sure I can‘t tempt you? It‘s banana pancakes! K B‘ELANNA (giving in a little) …..I will have some. NEELIX Great! I‘ll be right back. Neelix leaves. TOM AND H B‘ELANNA ENTERS They see K B‘Elanna and head over to her table. TOM (as he reaches) Where have you been? H B‘ELANNA (as she sits down) We were waiting for you at my quarters. Before K B‘Elanna can answer, NEELIX COMES OVER with the PLATE OF BANANA PANCAKES. H B‘Elanna sees the pancakes. H B‘ELANNA Hey, banana pancakes! She takes it from his hands, upsetting K B‘Elanna. K B‘Elanna stands up and begins to leave. TOM Where are you going? K B‘ELANNA To bat‘leth practice. CAMERA ON HER as she is exiting the same time HARRY is entering. HARRY‘S POV of Tom and H B‘Elanna at the table. ON TOM TOM (to H B‘Elanna) I‘ll be back later. Tom begins to leave, passing Harry on the way. HARRY (to Tom) (smiling) Better hurry if you want to catch your other girlfriend. Tom smiles at him and leaves. CUT TO: INT. HOLODECK 1 K B‘ELANNA is in the holodeck wielding a BAT‘LETH around, in an attack sequence as she is mock fighting THREE KLINGONS. The holodeck is of a DARK, CAVE SETTING (SPFX) K B‘ELANNA is busy fighting the other Klingons off. She defeats all of them. TOM ENTERS K B‘ELANNA (on seeing him) What are you doing here? TOM Looking for you. K B‘ELANNA Finished with the banana pancakes? TOM Actually, I left B‘Elanna with them. K B‘ELANNA Are you sure she can manage without you? TOM (laughing a little) What? She‘s just a little weak. (turning serious) Like you. K B‘ELANNA (getting angry) I am not weak ! TOM Maybe not in the same way,but, why else would you be avoiding me? K B‘ELANNA I have not been avoiding you. TOM Haven‘t you? In sickbay, in the mess hall. K B‘ELANNA I avoid no one. TOM (moving closer to her) (referring to the bat‘leth) Good, so why don‘t you show me how to use this thing? K B‘ELANNA (hides the bat‘leth behind her) Why do feign interest in something you do not even like? TOM (upset at the accusation) What are you talking about? ANGLE ON K B‘ELANNA as she gives him a ‚telling look‘ (insecurity over her now being ‚fully Klingon‘). ON TOM TOM B‘Elanna, I‘m not your father. K B‘ELANNA (becoming defensive) I know that. (emphasizing every word now) I…am…not…insecure. TOM (not quite believing her) Really? K B‘ELANNA (hiding her insecurities) What do I have to be insecure about? TOM Nothing, you have nothing to be insecure about. So, why are you so hard on your human side? K B‘ELANNA She is weak…. TOM She‘s not as weak as you think she is. K B‘ELANNA (conceding a little) Yes…but….I am stronger, I am different. (walking towards him) She corners him up against the side of the cave and kisses him passionately. CLOSE ON KISS. He kisses back. She pulls away. K B‘ELANNA …..am I not? TOM (recovering from the kiss) You have a point. She begins to walk away, staring at him intensely as she does. ANGLE ON TOM as he happily lets out a breath. CUT TO: INT. VOYAGER- B‘ELANNA‘S QUARTER‘S K B‘ELANNA ENTERS to find H B‘ELANNA already there. There is tension in the air. H B‘ELANNA (on seeing her) Where have you been? K B‘ELANNA In the holodeck, with Tom. CLOSE ON H B‘ELANNA as she is uncomfortable with that answer. H B‘ELANNA (arms crossed) I see. K B‘ELANNA You are disturbed by that. H B‘ELANNA(quipping) (becoming defensive) Why would you say that? K B‘ELANNA You forget that I know you. We were ONE once. H B‘ELANNA (nodding) And I know you. (beat) We both love Tom. K B‘ELANNA Yes,….but, whom does he love? H B‘ELANNA (taking in a deep breath) He loves us both. K B‘ELANNA But, he can no longer have both of us. H B‘ELANNA(though she knows already) What are you saying? K B‘ELANNA If we can not find the Vidiian ship, Tom must no longer see us as one…but two. K B‘ELANNA leaves (going OFF CAMERA), Leaving H B‘ELANNA to think. HOLD ON H B‘ELANNA as she thinks. CUT TO: INT. BRIDGE TUVOK We are approaching the nebula, captain. JANEWAY (standing up) On screen. ANGLE ON THE VIEWSCREEN as it displays the nebula (SPFX) RESUME JANEWAY as she is looking at it. TUVOK There are no indications of Vidiian ships on the sensors, captain. JANEWAY exchanges concerned looks with CHAKOTAY and then resumes her look at the nebula. HOLD ON JANEWAY‘S CONCERNED LOOK. OFF HER LOOK, WE END ACT THREE CUT TO: ACT FOUR INT. BRIDGE TUVOK I am picking up a faint ionic trail, Captain. JANEWAY (surprised) Follow that trail ,Tuvok. Janeway turns to Chakotay. JANEWAY They‘re gone. CHAKOTAY Let‘s hope we find them. ANGLE ON JANEWAY as she concurs. CUT TO: INT. MESS HALL TOM ENTERS and walks over to Neelix‘s COUNTER . NEELIX (behind the counter) (on seeing him) Oh hello Tom, what can I get you? You look tired. TOM Ah yeah, I‘ve just been rock climbing with B‘Elanna and practicing my Klingon breathing exercises with…well.. B‘Elanna. NEELIX Seems like a challenge,there‘s not enough of you to go around. TOM (smiling) Now there‘s a challenge I‘m always up for. (beat) A cup of coffee please, Neelix. NEELIX GIVES HIM A CUP OF COFFEE. TOM Thank-you. Tom looks around the mess hall. TOM‘S POV OF THE MESS HALL (CAMERA PANNIING AROUND THE ROOM, STOPPING ON HARRY‘S TABLE). HOLD ON HARRY AT HIS TABLE RESUME TOM as he walks over to it. TOM(sitting already) Mind if I sit? HARRY Well, I‘m surprised that you can tear yourself away from both your girlfriends. TOM (smiling) (taking a sip of coffee) Do I detect a hint of jealousy, my friend? HARRY (laughing) Oh no, but, I do have to ask you, have you thought about what will happen if we don‘t find the Vidiians? TOM(deep in thought) Yeah, I have……. I think we will have to make a few choices. HOLD ON TOM as he is thinking. CUT TO: EXT. DOCTOR‘S POV OF THE CODES (HELD IN LIQUID FORM IN A SPECIMEN FLASK) RESUME DOCTOR as he goes over and takes it. DOCTOR (slaps his COMM BADGE) Doctor to Voyager. I have the codes, captain. SPACE Voyager goes into warp (SPFX) CUT TO: INT. BRIDGE CHAKOTAY (to Janeway) The Doc sure is taking a long time with the operation. JANEWAY (looking at a fidgety Tom) I don‘t know how much longer Tom can wait. DOCTOR (V.O) Doctor to the bridge. JANEWAY Yes, Doctor. DOCTOR(V.O) I‘m pleased to inform you that the operation was a success. JANEWAY Thank-you Doctor. TOM (excited) Captain, may I be relieved…. JANEWAY (cutting him off) You are dismissed, Mr. Paris. TOM gets up and leaves . Janeway and Chakotay smile. CUT TO: INT. SICKBAY TOM ENTERS and almost walks into the Doctor. DOCTOR(sarcastically) What kept you that long, Mr. Paris? Tom smiles and continues walking towards B‘Elanna. The Doctor leaves. TOM (on reaching her) (tenderly) Hey. OVERSHOT SHOT as we see B‘ELANNA (half Klingon/half human) opening her eyes. SWITCH TO ANGLE SHOT OF TOM AND B‘ELANNA B‘ELANNA (softly) Hey. Tom takes her hand and pulls her up gently. B‘ELANNA (feeling her forehead) I‘m back? TOM(smiling) You‘re back. She moves closer to him. B‘ELANNA (playing devil‘s advocate) Tom Paris…..who would you have chosen? TOM I only had one person in mind. B‘ELANNA Who? TOM You. Tom moves closer to her.
